DTN COMMENTS: Still just a few asking prices of $250-plus are on the
table in parts of Texas. The rest of cattle country remains very quiet,
and bids remain very elusive. Significant trade volume will likely be
delayed until Thursday and/or Friday.
Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 381.53 -1.21, select 386.26 -
0.07) with light to moderate box movement (44.26 lds of choice cuts, 3.84
lds of select cuts, 10.70 lds of trim, and 8.04 lds of ground). Live
cattle futures are mostly moderately higher, while feeder issues are
mostly sharply higher at this time.
